Marathon Month celebrates a vibrant stretch of Colfax

The Colfax Marathon kicked off Marathon Month. People can pick up the Colfax Passport at local merchants, get it punched at Colfax businesses all month long at a series of events, then take to the People's Fair for a Colfax T-Shirt, chance for a trip to Lake Tahoe and over $2,000 in other goodies.

Participating businesses include some of the great recent additions to the area, among them the Tattered Cover, which took up residency in the Lowenstein alongside Twist & Shout two years ago; Steve's Snappin' Dogs; the Shoppe; What's Knot to Love; The Bad Kittie Salon; Caffe Sanora; Herbs and Arts, Mezcal, Goosetown Tavern, Sengers on the Fax and Hooked on Colfax.

"The businesses here are the gem of Colfax right now," says Don Novak, a longtime promoter of Colfax and creator of MyColfax.org and Marathon Month.
The Bluebird District was selected for the Denver Neighborhood Marketplace Initiative, a program sponsored by the City of Denver to foster capacity building for the City’s many diverse neighborhood marketplaces, develop stronger public-private partnerships and build long-lasting relationships that connect neighborhoods with businesses.

Saturday, May 24th
The Colfax Scavenger Hunt
The Colfax Scavenger Hunt for Kids is from 1pm to 4pm and Adults from 8pm to
Midnight - come join the hunt on the BlueBird Beat from Elizabeth to Monroe.
Saturday, May 31st
The Colfax Stomp1pm to 5pm daytime event and evening festivities from 8pm to
Midnight. Enjoy our Block Party with music, food, giveaways and great
shopping - plus entertainment all night. Festivities range from Vine Street
to Marion.
Saturday, June 7th & Sunday, June 8th
CHUN Capitol Hill People's Fair
